Note:
This UNIQUE piece was acquired by the late Professor Dame Georgina Mace DBE, while at a reception in the USA when she was based there at the start of her career as a Smithsonian Research Fellow c.1982. The only paper item she had on her person at the time was this empty cigarette packet which she asked Warhol to sign for her, which he duly did. Dame Georgina went on to become the founding Director of the Centre for Biodiversity & Environment Research at University College, London.
